Екиден маратон

Ekyden Marathon Sofia is a relay race held on September 6, 2026, at the Vasil Levski National Stadium. The event promotes road relay running and commemorates the 140th anniversary of the Union of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. Teams cover a total distance of 42.195 km, divided into six segments with different lengths and color-coded numbers. The race is organized by the Sports Club "Sports for All Sofia in Europe" and the Bulgarian Federation "Sports for All" with the aim of selecting national champions in relay running.

Receiving start numbers and relay exchange bands on September 5 from 10:00 to 19:30 and on September 6 from 7:30 to 8:30 at Vasil Levski National Stadium. Teams register mainly through the website 5kmrun.bg. There are specific cut-off times and limits for passing each segment. Registration takes place on September 5 and 6, 2025, at Vasil Levski National Stadium. The event includes relays and various distances such as 42.195 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 7.195 km.
